The Origin of Creative Learning and its services:

Creative Learning by Design is a sole proprietorship that developed out of Gary Vollinger's years of work experience with Pratt & Whitney and the Customer Training Center. Gary has a broad range of engineering  design and development experience from civil engineering to high speed gas turbines. The transition from design to training evolved from a life-long interest in learning and teaching.

The concept of a Creativity Workshop evolved from the love of human creative work, both in the arts and sciences. These interests crystallized with work as an engineering instructor and the study of human creativity in the Wesleyan Master of Arts in Liberal Studies program.

Gary has extensive experience in working with a diversity of skills and cultures from his experience as a teacher from elementary students to working with a range of adults from many cultures and many organizations

 

The value of training with Creative Learning:

Gary's engineering experience includes a range of disciplines from complex rotor frames and static structures, the application of high temperature super alloys, optimization of manufacturing processes and design principles and analysis for gas turbines. Added to this work experience are many interests in the development of other complex technical systems from amateur radio to green-technology. This range of experience provides the flexibility to grasp the essence of most technical problems and the ability to work with most disciplines recognizing salient issues and facilitating the formulation of potential solutions.

Gary has extensive experience in working with a diversity of skills and cultures from his experience as a teacher ranging from elementary students to adult training in many cultures.

Gary's experience in failure investigation is another enhancement to his diverse skills in training. Understanding root cause is another dimension of correcting flaws in the processes and improving organizational norms.
